Features

What NumberCraft does

  • Any prefix and suffix, sequential number with padding ({number:5} → 00042), dates ({Y}, {m}, {d} or any PHP date format)
  • Order data in the number: billing or shipping country, state, payment method, customer ID, SKU and category of the first product, any order custom field
  • Random letters or digits to hide how many orders you have
  • Live preview of the next numbers while you type, and a check of every format before it is saved
  • Any first number; on stores with existing orders it continues after the highest order ID
  • Increase by 1, 5, 10… or use odd or even numbers
  • Start again every day, month, year or fiscal year (choose the month)
  • Rules for different orders: free orders, orders created in the admin or by phone, by order total, payment method, billing country or where the order was created (classic checkout, block checkout, admin, REST API, subscription renewals)
  • Several rules can share one counter; test any existing order to see which rule it matches
  • Never duplicated: atomic database counter and a unique index; tested with 8 parallel processes creating 200 orders (200 different numbers, no gaps)
  • Optionally give the number only when the order is paid, so failed payments never leave gaps
  • Order screen: see the number and its rule, change it by hand (duplicates refused), give a new number, full history of changes
