Fixed amounts (25, 50, 100…), a custom amount with minimum and maximum, or both
Extra value promotions: pay 50, give a 55 card (percentage or fixed)

Delivery

Email now or on the date the customer chooses (up to one year ahead), at 8:00 in your time zone
The card image inside the email, the code as text and a printable A4 PDF with a QR code
The buyer is told when the card has been delivered
Physical cards: the store receives the PDF to print and put in the parcel
Every email is a WooCommerce email: change subject, heading, colours and sender in WooCommerce → Settings → Emails, or override the templates in your theme
Send again from the admin, optionally to a new address; every send is in the card history

Paying with gift cards

"Have a gift card?" in the cart and checkout, for the Cart and Checkout blocks and the classic shortcodes
Taken from the total after taxes and shipping, like a payment: tax reports stay correct
Partial use: the rest stays on the card for later orders; the holder gets an email with the balance left
Up to 5 cards in one order; orders fully paid with gift cards need no payment method
Codes work in upper or lower case, with or without dashes
The balance is taken in one database step when the order is placed, so a card can never be spent twice, even with two orders in the same second
Cancelled, failed or refunded orders give the money back to the card automatically; partial refunds with one click
Gift card lines in the order totals: thank-you page, emails, My Account and the admin

Redeem in your store

A counter screen: type the code, use a USB scanner or scan the QR code with the camera of a phone, tablet or laptop
Charge any amount or top up a card; add the ticket number as a note
"Gift card cashier" role: staff can use this screen and nothing else
REST API (giftcraft/v1) to look up, charge and top up cards from a till or an app with Application Passwords

Managing gift cards

Dashboard: sold, outstanding balance, redeemed, top-ups and expired, a 12-month chart and recent activity
List with search (code or its last characters, email, name, order) and filters: active, used, expiring soon, scheduled, expired, disabled
Card page: balance, history of every movement with who and when, change the balance with a reason, disable lost cards, change expiry or delivery date, download the PDF
Moving the expiry date of an expired card forward gives its balance back
Create one card or up to 500 at once for prizes, refunds or corporate orders; download the codes
Import cards from CSV (from another system or printed elsewhere); export every card to CSV, protected against spreadsheet formulas

Expiry reminder emails before a card with balance expires

Safe by design

Long random codes without ambiguous characters (16 characters by default, 12–24, your own prefix)
Guessing blocked: a limit of wrong codes per visitor
Gift cards cannot buy other gift cards (optional)
Exported and anonymised by the WordPress privacy tools
Cards and balances are kept when the plugin is deleted, unless you choose otherwise
